Tatted neck and sleeve on Blue Kurti

The white lace on this blue kurti had to be made according to the size and shape of the neck ,sleeves and the side slits. This is a set of motifs which were attached carefully one by one to make a lace. The neck shape is made with great care and stitched on the dress to give it the best outlook. Here are some snaps after completing my work

Old injuries do hurt sometimes.......

They say a good impression is a long lasting impression. A man looks smart and dashing only when he is well groomed. On this instance I would like to share an instance down from my diary which relates to my experience with my handsome husband who missed a chance of being selected for a movie.

The incident dates back to 1996, when we were once invited to a dinner party at my husband's colleague's place as he was celebrating his 25th wedding anniversary. My usually dashing and ever smart was un -occasionally dull as he was held up with office work throughout the week and till the day of the party. He somehow missed shaving his beard as he made it to the get together which was held at a grand resort just outskirts of the city.

Black Kurti with Tatted lace

The black kurti with a pink and white tatted lace is a continues piece running from neck to the front-line fully and the sleeves together form a 'V' shape pattern of the neck which gives an elegant look to the kurti top. Light pink leggins would suite well along with this anarkali type kurti. It takes many days to make this pattern as it is a running lace made together by attaching sets of flower shaped motifs together to form the lace pattern.

Journey from a college student or a housewife to being a college student and a housewife

In this blogpost I would like to share this experience down from my memory line, a part of my life journey of transformation where I had to chose from either being a college student or a housewife to being a college student and a housewife by fulfilling both challenges in life.

The first year when I completed my degree of B.A English and stepped into my second year I was married. When entered into in-laws house, where regular college was not allowed to continue, I had o give up studying to be a good housewife. While life was going on with day to day hectic work where I had to serve all the members in the family. Also, after struggling the whole day doing the house old chores like a traditional daughter in law, cooking for the family there was no time left to peruse my regular college . In free time making pickles and papaads and in the evening snacks for the guests and so on kept me occupied.
